Founded in 1976 as a division of A.Menarini Industrie Farmaceutiche Riunite of Florence, Italy. A. Menarini Diagnostics Srl became a separate entity on 01/01/2007.

In July 1997 A. Menarini Diagnostics was certified by the TÜV Product Service according to the ISO 9002 and EN 46002.
In July 2003 the company obtained by TÜV the certification ISO 9001:2000, ISO 13485:2000.

A. Menarini Diagnostics now employs approximately 800 people, 75% of whom are dedicated to marketing, sales, after-sales service and customer care activities.

The 2007 consolidated turnover reached approximately 300 million Euro.

Today A. Menarini Diagnostics is an International Group with its Headquarters in Florence and an infrastructure made up of 14 fully owned subsidiares in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, Nordic countries, Slovenia, Croatia and Switzerland.

A. Menarini Diagnostics Austria was founded in 1988 in Vienna and currently employs 33 staff in sales, marketing and customer support. The company has been certified according to ISO 9001:2000 since 2002.

The strategic areas of A. Menarini Diagnostics are:

• Clinical Chemistry (dry, wet and urinalysis)
• Immunology (immunohistochemistry, autoimmunity).

Menarini Diagnostics has established a number of successful partnerships with leading producers including Arkray Corporation (Japan), Leica MicroSystems (UK), Nova Biomedical (USA), Interlab (Italy), Diesse (Italy), Mindray (China).

A. Menarini Diagnostics R&D activities focus on the diabetes line and, generally speaking, seek to exploit and apply the most advanced technology in the fields of diagnosis research.
